Warm Layers, Snacks, Water make a good National Park Day

Christmas is all snuggly, warm indoors. Only beauty like Utah's National Parks could draw my family outside. Made a nice outing of Arches National Park near Moab Utah.

Holding hands on the trails was essential as much of the trails were icy. Surprisingly, many cars were present in the Parking lots of the various trail heads in this monumental park.

On the way in the sun shone on the sandstone hillocks, on the way out the backs of the hillocks remained snow covered. It was fun to notice this and wag our heads to see the view brown, see it white.
