Zion Hiking and Camping

Zion hiking and camping are great ways to view the beauty and all Zion has to offer. We have listed the trails and campgrounds below.

Here some hiking trails in Zion from easy to strenuous.

Pa’rus Trail - located near the visitor center and is the only trail you can talk your pet dogs on. Easy trail

Riverwalk - located near the Temple of Sinawava and runs along the Virgin River. Easy Trail

Lower, middle, and upper Emerald Pools - located near Zion Lodge and leads to waterfalls. Easy Trail

Weeping Rock - located near Hidden Canyon Trail is a short but steep walk to this magnificent rock that continues to have dripping springs pour out of it. Easy Trail

Archeology Trail - located near the Visitor Center is a short but steep walk that outlines prehistoric storage buildings. Easy Trail

Canyon Overlook - located east of the long tunnel and has drop offs with spectacular views of lower Zion Canyon and Pine Creek Canyon. Moderate Trail

Watchman - located near Visitor Center has moderate drop offs and has views of Zion Canyon, Oak Creek Canyon and Springdale. Moderate Trail

Hidden Canyon - located near Weeping Rock has long drop offs and ends at the mouth of narrow canyon. Strenuous Trail

Angels Landing - located at the Grotto has long drop offs and narrow path and ends at the summit high above Zion Canyon. Strenuous Trial

Observation Point - located near Weeping Rock and climbs through Echo Canyon to the observation point. Awesome views of Zion Canyon! Strenuous Trail
