Washington County FairI haven’t been to the Washington county fair, but my mom has. Here is her review. Washington County Fair was fantastic! It was my first time there being new to the area and all. I was blown away at the laser light show! We got 3-D glasses and watch an action packed show. The music and program was superb. Things were flying off the screen. My favorite part was the Eagle.
During the day they had the usual events, taste testing and prize awards. Their display of hand sown quilts brings me back to my childhood.
I still love to can jellies and got great ideas from their canned veggies and jellies displays. Who knows maybe I’ll enter in the competition next year! I especially enjoyed the art work. They had this amazing drawing of the Joker, it was so real and very eerie the eyes seemed to follow you everywhere. The photographs were very interesting. I love seeing the world through other people’s eyes. It gives me a different perspective and often I will view things differently afterwords. The local City’s entered a display about their town. The display was made from seeds, beans and anything grown. It was very creative and made for beautiful art displays. Of course you cannot forget about the animals, they had everything from rabbits to cattle. It makes for a great day with family, kids and friends. If you are in Southern Utah in the early August you have to stop by for some old time fun! Here are some videos of the laser light show! |
