Panguitch Lake Utah

The Panguitch Lake Utah is one of the best areas for mountain trout fishing. The first recorded evidence of human presents in the lake happened with the Pauite Indians who came to the lake to fish.

It was the Pauite Indians who gave the lake its name. “Panguitch” means “Big Fish” in their native tough. The legend continues into modern days as it is known by sportsmen as one of the 10 best trout lakes in the US.

This natural lake covers 1,250 acres of land and is surrounded by cooled lava flow and forest trees. Panguitch elk and deer are can be seen throughout the nearby areas during the morning and the late afternoons.

There are many cabin areas along the lake but here are a couple that sit right on the lake. Warning: there are no Televisions or Telephones in these cabins but that is alright, it is camping after all.
