Navajo Loop Trail in Bryce Canyon
The Navajo loop trail is about 1.3 miles/ 2 kilometers just below sunset point in Bryce canyon. It takes you down into a large canyon and loops around so you reenter where you started. Out of all the trails I have been to this is definitely one of the most scenic. It total I must have taken over 100 pictures of the mystical rock formations and mountain tops when I last visited. It is a short hike down to the trail which leads you to a narrow rock formation known as Wall Street. Wall Street is a canyon that was formed over millions of years of water erosion and flood. It stands over 100 feet tall and has a narrow passage about 20 yards wide which the trail continues through.
Even in the middle of this large rock formation you can still see large trees along with other plant life growing just as easily as if it was in the middle of a thriving rain forest. The formations are breathtaking so make sure that you bring a camera with you. As the trail exits the Wall Street canyon there is a short hike to the halfway point where you start heading back up. Just after the half way point there is a small fork in the road. To the right you will be able to see two natural bridges that connect both sides of the canyon. The lower bridge is around 4 feet high while the upper bridge is about 20 feet off the ground. These bridges are part of Utah’s natural beauty and are formed entirely out of rock through the process of erosion.
To the left you will see a short .5 mile hike leading you back up the mountain and looping around to the point you originally came.
If you are not satisfied with the 1.3 mile/2 kilometer hike the other hikes like Queens garden, Rim trail, and Peek a boo Loop all hike in the same area, but are much longer.
